Taunton lose out for the first time this season

TAUNTON Town lost their unbeaten record this season when they went down 2-1 at home to Met Police in Southern Premier South this afternoon (Sat).

After big wins over Tiverton Town and Truro City in the FA Cup, this was a particularly disappointing result for Taunton.
The Police took the lead in the 24th minute when Ben Shroll scored with a shot which took a deflection and stretched their advantage with a goal by Max Blackmore on the hour.
Owen Howe pulled a goal back from the penalty spot in the 89th minute after Alex Fisher had pulled back Toby Holmes but by then Taunton were almost out of time. Attendance: 487.
