Phew! Another close one for Taunton Titans

CLIFTON will be kicking themselves for losing at home to Taunton Titans in National Two South, especially after scoring 42 points, 28 of them coming in the second half.

Titans completed the season's double over the Bristol outfit with a 48-42 victory which keeps them in fourth place.
They are now only two points behind second-placed Canterbury who beat Old Redcliffians 47-12.
The Rams are now 13 points clear of the field and firm favourites for the championship.
Clifton looked dead and buried when they trailed 33-14 at the interval. Will Pomphrey led the Clifton fightback with a hat-trick of tries, while Chris Rovery, Henry Harper and Sam Goatley also crossed Titans' tryline with Brad Barnes kicking six conversions.
Titans' tryscorers were Jarrard Hayler (2), Nick Mason (2), Freddie Fraser, Ollie Rice, and Sam Brown who also landed five conversions and a penalty.
Next up for Titans is a home game against struggling Birmingham and Solihull on Saturday while Clifton are away to seventh-placed Worthing.
