Wellington claim bragging rights in local derby.

WELLINGTON got back to winning ways with a bonus try victory over near neighbours Tiverton in this hard fought local derby.

The home side took the lead thanks to a Chris Kittow try which Alex Davey converted and extended their lead when Neville Pitman touched down over the line.

Tiverton reduced the arrears with a try which Jeremy Atkins converted, which made the score 12-7.

Ash Harney then scored a stunning try for Wellington after running the full length of the pitch which Davey converted to make it 19-7 at the break.

Ten minutes after the re-start Pitman went over for his second try which Davey converted, soon after which Tiverton reduced the arrears with a penalty by Atkins.

The visitors then scored another converted try followed by a penalty to reduce the deficit to six points.

Davey made it 29-20 to the hosts but it was Tiverton who finished off the scoring when Atkins kicked a penalty as the game ended 29-23 to the Somerset side.
