Taunton Titans in eight-try spree

TAUNTON Titans turned on the style to beat Bury St Edmunds 50-0 at the Commsplus Stadium in National Two South.

The result delighted Titans' head coach Tony Yapp who had called on his players to put on a show for supporters following the last home game - a 17-13 defeat by Henley Hawks.
Titans also stopped the opposition from scoring which is a rarity for Yapp's men who trail leaders The Rams by only four points.
Titans had the game virtually wrapped up at half time when they led 36-0 with skipper Nick Mason leading the charge with two tries, the first only two minutes into the game.
With their forwards dominate, Titans also snapped up tries through Jarrard Hayler, Dan Lee, Noah Sixton and Connor Baker with Gary Kingdom kicking three conversions in difficult conditions.
The Saints came out in the second half with more purpose but could not prevent Titans scoring two more tries through Ratu Vakalutukali and Sam Prior with Kingdom adding the extras to both.
Next up for Titans is an away match against improving Barnes on Saturday, then a blank weekend before taking on the Rams in a crunch clash.
