Olympic Gold Medallist Maddie Hinch to run courses in Taunton


ENGLAND hockey player and former pupil Maddie Hinch MBE will be returning to King’s College this summer to run a special coaching camp

HINCH who began her goalkeeping career after being spotted by her PE teacher catching and diving while playing rounders, pulled off a number of stunning saves in the penalty shoot out to help England Women win the Hockey Gold Medal in Rio de Janeiro in 2016.

The 28 year old who was a pupil at King’s between 2002 and 2007 will be returning to school on Saturday June 2nd to run a coaching camp for young goalkeepers between the ages of eight and seventeen years of age.

The following day, Sunday June 3rd, the England ‘keeper will be running a camp for goalkeepers over the age of 18.
