Taunton Vale Ladies too strong for Newent.


TAUNTON Vale chalked up their fourth victory of the season in Premier One of Women's West Hockey, when they beat Newent.

The hosts led 2-0 at half time thanks to goals from Sarah James and Karen Turnbull.

The visitors pulled one back in the second half, but in the closing minutes Hannah Hughes secured the third goal and with it the three points.

Vale remained calm and composed with some stand out performances by Kathryn Lennard and Sarah James, while Ange Wych played intelligently up front.
