  Quantock Win 22-14

QUANTOCK, sponsored by Mecca Bingo, played Torís Avalon in the first division.

A fairly evenly matched first quarter saw Quantock lead 10-8, then pull further ahead by half time (22-14). Avalon fought back in the third quarter and started to close the gap (30-25) but Quantock remained composed to hang onto their lead and win the game 35-33. POM was Denise Evely, OPOM was Helen Lucas. The squad: GS Helen Lucas, GA Becca Holder, WA Sophie Atyeo/Lily Smith, C Erin Humphris, WD Gugu Mlotshwa, GD Denise Evely, GK Lindsay Smith. Ball sponsor: Ling Shooting.
Tudor, sponsored by Marked Skin, played Purnellís Minstrels in the second division. Both teams got off to a good start, but some great interceptions from Tudor saw them take the lead at the end of the first quarter (5-8). Tudor rearranged during the second quarter, which allowed Minstrels to catch up (13-13). Despite a few setbacks, Tudor continued to work hard to bring the ball up the court. Some great defence helped Tudor to take a slight lead once again (21-20). With just one goal in it, Minstrels came into the final quarter fighting and, despite all Tudorís efforts, Minstrels managed to steal the win (26-30). POM was Emily Daly, OPOM was Sarah Hughes. The squad: GS Tanya Binding, GA Jemma Gent, WA Emily Daly, C Charlotte OíLeary, WD Sarah Hughes, GD Hayley Milne, GK Rhonda Robins.
