Enmore Park Ladies enjoy Spring Meeting


ENMORE Park Ladies held their Spring Meeting last week, which despite being very cold with wet grass in the morning making the course play long, was a very enjoyable way to start off the season.

The winner of the Jubilee Bowl for the best overall nett stableford score was Jennifer Hawkins, whilst it was Henrietta Hayden who won the Glen Trophy, for the highest stableford score for 30-36 handicappers.

In the afternoon there was there was also a 9 hole bowmaker the winners of which were Pat Rogers, Henriette Hayden and Jane Driver with 41 points, while the runners up were Gwen Cavill, Ruth Maclennan and Alison Marchant with 40 points.

Enmore’s Bubbles and Balls sessions that are taking place as part of the the club’s Women into Golf initiative later this month are proving to be very popular and already 60 ladies have registered to go along and enjoy a free taster session has already attracted 60 ladies.

The Enmore Park Open Day that took place on Sunday has been deemed a great success by all concerned, when everyone who attended had an ejoyable time and in excess of 20 new full members joined on the day in addition to which a number of new Junior Members were recruited.
