FOURTEEN year old golfer Kyle Miller who lives in Wellington is making quite a name for himself on the junior circuit and last week he won the Nett Competition at the Tiverton Golf Club Juniors Open.

Not only did he win the Nett Competition but Kyle was third in the Gross Competition.

At the start of the year Kyle who has been a member at Taunton and Pickeridge Golf Club for over three years, was playing off a handicap of 8 which he has now reduced to 6, so he is improving all the time.

Kyle who attends Wellington School is currently the vice captain on the T&P Junior Section.

In addition to playing at T&P Kyle also plays representative golf for Somerset Under 14s on a regular basis.

Kyle takes his golf very seriously and in order to acquaint himself with the course in the run up to the Tiverton Open along with other T&P juniors who entered he went along to play the course.

Mike Hooper the Junior Organizer at T&P said: “Kyle works very hard at his golf and thoroughly deserves his success. He is a very likeable young man who fits in well with the other juniors at the club.”
