  Matthew Lee, Judy Driver and John Payne win Perry Cup at Enmore  

THE Junior Perry Cup that took place at Enmore Park Golf Club last Sunday was won by John Payne (who plays off 14), Jane Driver (20) and Matthew Lee (Junior off 21) who together scored 74.

Second place went to Phil Hodge (9), Julie Blumgart (13) and Theo Culverhouse (Junior off 7) ) with 72 while Barry Woodman (14), Jackie Woodman (20) and Alice Lee (Junior off 29) were third with 71.

Last Saturday’s Pro Shop 4BBB Stableford attracted 64 entrants and was won by Sean Jones (10) and Andrew Merrick (2) with 47, second place went to Kevin Lewis (11) and Rob Loder (4) with 45, while Martin Innalls (2) and Paul Windsor (12) were third on count back with 44.

This weekend’s Pro Shop Stableford was won by Gilmour Thomson(20) with 41 points on countback ahead of Tom Chedzoy (6) while Mark Chapman (13) was third with 40.

The seniors entertained the Isle of Wedmore on Tuesday which turned out to be a close-run affair, which the visitors won four and half to three and a half.The home winners were John Earp and Mike Sullivan, and David Robbins and Mike Cavill while Ben Gliddon and Peter Scott, Rob Fear and Ray Hancock and Ray Lukeski and Rob Davey halved their matches.

On Friday, Churston Golf Club seniors were the visitors to Enmore and returned to South Devon with a 5-3 win under their belts.

Enmore winners were Rob Fear and John Earp, along with Jeff Saunders and Steve Lukins, while two pairs Tony Pomeroy with Ben Gliddon and John Newell partnering Stephen Clifton managed to halve their matches.
