  Enmore golfers enjoy Last Waltz  

THE golfers at Enmore Park played their last rounds before the second lockdown came into force on November 5th.

Last weekend the Gentleman’s Turkey Trot took place at the end of which two players returned with 37 points. After countback however it was Tom Pople who plays off a handicap of five who edged into first place ahead of eight handicapper Joe Cresswell.

Third place went to Steve Rolph who scored 36 points playing off seven, while fourth spot went to Tim Jones with 35, playing off four.

On Wednesday the Ladies Section played an appropriately named 18 Hole Team Last Waltz competition that attracted 43 entrants.

In first place and the clear winners with 74 were Christine Hannam who plays off a handicap of 26, Jackie Woodman off 20 and Nicola Toller who plays off 32.

Two teams returned with 71 but following countback it was immediate Past Lady Captain Wendy Walker off 19, Marilyn Turrell off 31 and Hilary Cockcroft who has a handicap of 29, who claimed second, while Janet Waplington off 27, Pat Rodgers playing off 16 and Lorraine Taylor off 29 were third.

Fourth placed were Hazel Percy playing off a handicap of 36, Joanne Wyatt off 23 and Irene Dickinson off of 23, who together scored 70.
