Taunton at near full-strength for cup tie

TAUNTON Town will be fielding a strong side for their Southern League Challenge Cup preliminary round tie at home to Willand Rovers on Wednesday night (Wed) (7.45).

“There may be one or two changes but that’s all,” said Taunton boss Rob Dray, whose side are unbeaten in their last five matches after losing their opening two games.
This included a 3-0 away victory over Winchester City in the first qualifying round of the Emirates FA Cup on Saturday when all three goals were scored by Dan Sullivan.
“We’re playing well because our last five matches have all been against teams who have not lost this season.
“We certainly deserved our victory at Winchester although there was not much in it in the first half. But once we went ahead we always looked the more likely winners.”
Mangotsfield United are also involved in the same competition on Wednesday night, playing away to Highworth Town.
United will be looking to bounce back after their 5-0 home loss against Blackfield & Langley in the FA Cup on Saturday.
