Taunton's top of the table clash called off

THE top of the table clash between Salisbury and Taunton Town in Southern Premier South scheduled for Saturday has been postponed

Salisbury will instead be playing Carshalton Athletic in the second round of the FA Trophy, leaving Taunton with a blank Saturday.
It means that Taunton, seven points clear of Weymouth and Salisbury, will not be in action again until they play at home to Gosport Borough on Saturday, January 19.
Taunton are unbeaten at the Viridor Stadium in the league this season and ended a lean spell with a 2-1 home win over Beaconsfield on Wednesday night.
Weymouth have three matches in hand on Taunton but the Somerset side have a much superior goal difference than their title rivals.
Rob Dray, who has been in charge of Taunton for four months, said: "This is really a tough division to be in. Anyone can beat anyone on their day."
