Neal's two goals win it for Taunton

TAUNTON Town stretched their lead at the top of Southern Premier South to seven points with a hard-earned 2-1 home win over Beaconsfield tonight (Wed).

It was very much a game of two halves with Taunton dominating the first 45 minutes and then having to defend after the interval.
Taunton, still unbeaten at home in the league this season, went ahead in the 20th minute when Rocky Neal latched onto a pass by Lewis Hall to score.
Neal doubled his tally in the 39th minute, scoring with a long range effort.
Beaconsfield were fortunate to be only 2-0 down at half time but hit back with a goal by Charlie Lossaso in the 46th minute.
Beaconsfield threatened to turn the match around but Taunton's defence held firm and the home side could have gone further ahead towards the end.
Attendance: 410.
