White blow for tabletoppers Taunton

TAUNTON Town defender Shane White will be sidelined for several weeks through injury.

White, previously with Truro City, fractured his cheekbone while playing against Merthyr Town on New Year's Day.
Taunton's head of football Rob Dray said: "Shane picked up the injury just after half time but played on not realising how bad it was. This says a lot about Shane.
"He has to go back to hospital later this week when the swelling goes down and they can x-ray it. He may require surgery.
"Shane's a tough lad and can play anywhere along the back row. He gives it his all in every game."
Taunton remain six points clear at the top of Southern Premier South despite losing 3-1 at Merthyr.
"I've said it before. Any team in this division can beat anyone on their day."
