Captain Tom in the wickets in Oz

SOMERSET captain Tom Abell only flew out to Perth last week, but at the weekend he was in top form with the ball for Fremantle CC where he is playing Grade Cricket for part of this winter.

Tom enjoyed the impressive figures of three wickets for 14 runs, which included the top two batsmen, from his 11 overs, seven of which were maidens as Fremantle bowled out Mount Lawley for 104.

In reply Fremantle made 108 for two declared, with Tom unbeaten on 9, before batting for a second time Mount Lawley were reduced to 48 for four, the Somerset skipper claiming one wicket for four runs off his four overs, with two maidens. The game continues next weekend.
